Applying for an ED visa from abroad

You can apply from overseas through the official Thai e-Visa system, at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country or in the country where you currently hold legal residence.

  1. Enrolment

Register with the school 1.5–2 months before you plan to arrive in Thailand. Download the application forms below, or ask us to email them to you. Fill them in and scan them back to us as PDF files.

  2. Review and payment

We check every detail of your application. If everything is correct, we send you instructions for paying the tuition fee.

  3. Document processing

Once your payment is confirmed, we process your documents with the Office of Education, which takes about 1–2 weeks. When the school receives official approval, we scan and email all the documents you need.

  4. Online visa application

When you receive our email, apply online through the Thai e-Visa website.

  5. Visa approval

The approved e-Visa is sent to you by email, and you can travel to Thailand on it. Make sure you enter Thailand while the document is valid, within 90 days of approval.

Arriving in Thailand

The ED visa issued by a Thai embassy is a single-entry visa valid for 90 days. On arrival you receive an initial 90-day permission to stay.

Please report to the school within one week of arriving. We then prepare the documents for you to extend your visa at Krabi Immigration every 90 days until you complete your course.

Who decides

Visa approval or refusal is at the sole discretion of the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate. Alongkorn Language School has no influence or authority over their final decision. That said, based on our track record, none of our applicants has ever been refused a visa.
